Get articles, as they were published
When a story is good, you want it as published. You want to see the headline in bold, you want colour, you want the images.
Most news sites give you articles as text, when often the most valuable part of an article needs the image too. A graph showing an important trend for instance.
With ClipSearch, you can view the article as a digital newspaper clipping, or access to the Page View to see what other stories it accompanied, and how it was positioned.
Search over 100 newspapers in one place
There are 3 ways of searching. Searches can be saved for re-user, and daily email alerts created from them.
- Simple Search - for basic text searches
- Advanced Search - for more refined searches requiring greater control (e.g. edition number, full date ranges)
- Browse - for finding an article based on publication, date and page number
Best of all, searching is unlimited and free.
Articles from around the UK
ClipSearch searches the NLA database of electronic newspaper clippings from over 100 UK national and regional newspapers, from 2006 onwards. The list of publications continues to grow and can be seen in the Clipsearch content list.
